Onnen sits at the western end, angled so the doors open straight into the sunset. Inside it is one room done properly: a king bed with decent linen, two reading lamps, a wood burner and a window seat wide enough to sit in with a book.
It is the pod people book for anniversaries and for the weekends where the plan is deliberately nothing. There is no television, and the signal gives up about halfway up the track, which most guests treat as the point.
It is the closest pod to the parking, twenty metres on the flat, which makes it the easy one if stairs and tracks are a consideration.
Inside
- King bed with cotton linen, made up before you arrive
- Wood burner, with the first basket of logs on us
- Window seat facing west, where the sunset does its work
- Two-ring hob, sink, fridge and everything to cook with
- Shower room with a proper hot shower and a flushing loo
Outside
- Private deck facing west, with two chairs and a small table
- Fire pit and a bench, with a grill that fits over it
- Outside tap and a boot rack under the porch
Good to know
- Twenty metres from the parking, on the flat
- Two adults only, so it stays the quiet one
- No television, and the phone signal stops halfway up the track
